Built with a PCIe interface that receives bus power from your host system, this card is hot swappable and provides up to 15W (3A) of power to connected devices. In order to better protect this card and your computer, there is a device overcurrent fuse that may be reset simply by restarting your system. This card may also be used in Thunderbolt expansion systems, including Sonnet's Echo line of desktop and rackmount chassis.
