The battery slide mounts onto your camera using its captive screws and sits at an angle with a movable hinge to allow you to access the camera's BP-U battery.
The slide mounts a single Gold mount battery and powers the camera using a 4-pin XLR cable, which also provides hot-swap capability with the camera's internal battery.
